What we are

Free expert guidance your
students can actually use.

The Pathfinders Initiative runs free online sessions for secondary school students — covering the topics that matter most for competitive university applications: medicine, law, Oxbridge, finance, and the 11+.

Each session is led by a current student at a leading UK university: someone who has recently navigated the same applications, interviews, and decisions your students are now preparing for. They know what actually makes a difference — from the inside.

We are entirely independent and have no commercial agenda. Our only goal is to make good guidance accessible to every student who wants it.

For Years 10–13

Medicine, law, Oxbridge, and finance application guidance — from students who went through it recently and know what selectors are actually looking for.

For Year 5–6 Parents

Clear, unbiased 11+ preparation guidance for families — what the exam involves, how to support at home, and how to approach the timeline without the pressure.

Live Q&A every session

Students get to ask questions directly. Every session includes dedicated time for honest, specific answers — not a scripted presentation.

How to get involved

Simple ways to bring
Pathfinders to your students.

There is no formal partnership process — just share what's useful. Here are the most common ways schools work with us.

Include upcoming session links in your weekly parent newsletter, UCAS bulletin, or sixth form communications. Students register themselves — no admin required on your end.

Display in school

Pin session details on your sixth form noticeboard, careers board, or UCAS display. A QR code linking to our sessions page works particularly well.

Mention in assembly

A brief mention in year group assembly or form time before a relevant session is one of the most effective ways to get students along.

Add to your UCAS resources

Link to our sessions page from your school's internal UCAS or careers resources so students can find us independently throughout the year.

Request a dedicated session

If there is a topic your cohort needs that we haven't covered, get in touch. We can explore running a session tailored to your students' year group or subject area.

Suggest a topic

You know your students better than anyone. If there is a subject, career path, or admissions process they are asking about, let us know and we will do our best to cover it.

Get in touch

Happy to help — just drop us a line.

Whether you want to share an upcoming session with your students, discuss a topic, or find out more about how we work — email us and we will get back to you the same day.
